Key Qualifications:
- Certification or registry in Computed Tomography (CT) required
- ARRT (R) and (CT) credentials strongly preferred
- Previous experience operating CT scanners and providing imaging in a clinical setting
- Understanding of anatomy, patient positioning, and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with patients and colleagues
- Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and workflow demands
- Valid state licensure (if applicable)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans according to physician orders and facility protocols
- Confirm patient identity, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety
- Accurately position patients and select appropriate technical factors
- Monitor scans for diagnostic quality, making adjustments as necessary
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and clean imaging rooms in compliance with safety and infection control standards
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to review images and support care planning
- Document procedures, patient data, and quality assurance activities as required
