Join a well-equipped Level II Trauma Center with a 492-bed facility, offering specialized departments including a Level III NICU and Primary Stroke Center. This contract opportunity in Pike Road, AL, seeks experienced CT/PET Imaging Technologists skilled in advanced CT procedures to support both inpatient and outpatient care.
Schedule & Shift Details:
- Work three 12-hour shifts each Friday through Sunday
- No nights before off (No NBO)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of CT imaging procedures including biopsies, drainage, trauma assessments, angiograms, and stroke perfusion studies, with stroke perfusion experience strongly preferred
- Manage a patient ratio typically averaging 1:1 during imaging sessions, handling about 4 patients per hour
- Operate all GE CT equipment within the main Radiology Department, supporting various units across the hospital
- Document patient data accurately using Cerner EMR system
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active ARRT certification with ARRT-CT required; state licensure preferred
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum two years’ experience for first-time travelers; strong one-year experience acceptable
- Comfortable floating within different areas of the radiology department
- Previous exposure to trauma, angiogram, biopsy, and stroke perfusion imaging is essential
Facilities & Support:
- Orientation includes one full day hospital onboarding and 2-3 days shadowing with day-shift technologists
- Volunteer on-call opportunities
- Holiday scheduling follows hospital policy with one major and one minor seasonal holiday to be worked
