Advance your career as a skilled CT/PET Technologist, delivering expert imaging services in a fast-paced hospital environment. This contract opportunity features a schedule of three 12-hour shifts each week—Friday through Sunday—providing a predictable work-life balance within a 492-bed facility equipped with cutting-edge GE CT technology and Cerner EMR.
Key Qualifications:
- Current ARRT registration required
- BLS certification required
- ARRT-CT certification required; state license preferred
- At least one year of strong CT/PET experience; or at least two years for first-time travelers
- Proficiency in CT-guided biopsies, drainage, trauma imaging, and angiograms required
- Experience with stroke perfusion imaging strongly preferred
- Flexibility to float within main Radiology areas as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic CT and PET scans for diverse inpatient and outpatient populations, including adult, emergency, and occasional pediatric patients
- Prepare, position, and monitor patients, ensuring safety and image quality
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to support timely, accurate diagnoses
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation using Cerner software
- Respond effectively to trauma, stroke, and emergent imaging needs
- Adapt to variable patient volumes, averaging four scans per hour
- Adhere to holiday and weekend rotation requirements as outlined by departmental policy
- Participate in a comprehensive orientation and seamlessly integrate with a multidisciplinary team
