Healthcare professionals with expertise in CT imaging and PET/CT technology are invited to apply for an engaging opportunity supporting a dynamic radiology department. This contract role is ideal for candidates skilled in a broad range of imaging scenarios, including inpatient, outpatient, adult, and occasional pediatric cases in a fast-paced environment at a large medical facility with 492 beds, a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center.

Schedule and Hours:

  • Holiday coverage: Expected to work one major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy
  • Weekend rotation varies (typically once a month, may change as needed)
  • On-call coverage is voluntary

Qualifications:

  • BLS and ARRT certifications (required)
  • ARRT-CT required for CT Technologists; State license is preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of strong, relevant experience for travelers
  • Open to first-time travelers with at least 2 years of experience in CT/PET technology
  • Proficiency with GE CT systems and Cerner EMR
  • Expertise in CT trauma, angiogram procedures, biopsy drainage, and stroke perfusion (strongly preferred)
  • Experience with both inpatient and outpatient populations, including emergency situations

Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality CT and PET/CT imaging for diverse patient types (adult, inpatient, outpatient; occasional pediatrics)
  • Manage a patient load averaging 4 individuals per hour, ensuring safety and accurate results
  • Float as assigned within the main radiology department, adapting to different imaging needs and team dynamics
  • Complete a thorough facility orientation, including 8-hour hospital overview and 2-3 dayshifts with a designated mentor
