CT Technologist in Pittsford, NY

Qualifications:

• ARRT (CT) certification required
• Demonstrated competency in CT and PET/CT imaging techniques
• Active BLS certification
• Familiarity with imaging equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Strong adherence to safety protocols and radiation guidelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams
• Minimum of one year’s relevant experience preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct CT and PET/CT scans according to physician protocols, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Accurately position patients and utilize shielding devices as appropriate
• Monitor imaging quality and troubleshoot technical issues promptly
• Document patient information and imaging procedures in electronic health records
• Explain procedures clearly to patients, addressing questions and concerns with professionalism
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to support optimal workflow
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and readiness; report malfunctions or required maintenance
