Join a dynamic healthcare team as a CT/PET Technologist specializing in advanced imaging techniques within a Level II Trauma Center offering comprehensive patient care. This contract position provides the opportunity to work with cutting-edge GE CT technology in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT imaging procedures including biopsy drainage, trauma, angiograms, and stroke perfusion studies.
  • Provide imaging services for inpatients and outpatients, both adult and pediatric patients, maintaining a 1:1 patient ratio averaging 4 patients per hour.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate diagnostic imaging, supporting timely patient care decisions.
  • Utilize EMR system Cerner to document procedures and patient information.
  • Float throughout various areas of the Radiology department, gaining diverse experience.
  • Complete hospital orientation including dayshift training alongside an experienced tech.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • ARRT-CT certification required; State license preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year strong experience in CT imaging procedures; 2+ years preferred for first-time travelers.
  • Proficient in complex imaging techniques including angiograms and trauma protocols.
  • Experience working in a hospital setting preferred.

Schedule & Location:

  • Shift: Three 12-hour shifts from Friday through Sunday.
  • Location: Prattville, Alabama, adjacent to a major medical center with 492 beds, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center.
  • Holiday and weekend rotations apply per department needs with voluntary on-call option.
