Qualifications:
- Active certification in Computed Tomography (CT) through ARRT or equivalent.
- Specialized training and prior work experience in CT/PET imaging procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to operate and troubleshoot CT and PET/CT scanners.
- Understanding of HIPAA and compliance with patient confidentiality standards.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to interacting with patients.
- Current BLS certification required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality diagnostic CT and CT/PET scans as ordered by referring clinicians.
- Accurately follow all safety protocols to ensure patient and staff safety during imaging procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging exams while explaining processes to minimize discomfort and anxiety.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to relay findings and maintain patient-focused care.
- Monitor imaging equipment for functionality, and assist in routine maintenance as needed.
- Track and document procedures, images, and reports in electronic medical records in a timely manner.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in medical imaging.
