Travel Cath Lab Tech Assignment – Day Shift | Prestonsburg, KY

A Cath Lab Technologist is needed for a full-time travel assignment in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Multiple openings are available for experienced Cath Lab professionals comfortable with procedural work, call coverage, and a collaborative cath/EP lab environment.

Assignment Details

• Location: Prestonsburg, KY
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Openings: 3
• Start Date: Can start as soon as possible
• Schedule: 4x10s | Monday–Friday with 1 rotating weekday off each week
• Shift: Days
• Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Call Requirements:
  • 8–15 call days per month
  • 1 weekend every 3 weeks (rack up some extra money this winter!)
  • Must respond within 30 minutes for STEMI alerts
• Department Structure:
  • 2 Cath Labs + rotation through EP Lab
  • Call team consists of 2 RNs + 1 Rad Tech
  • 8–10 procedures daily
  • 6–8 STEMI cases per month
• Equipment/Support: Scrubs and lead apron provided

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of Cath Lab experience
• ARRT certification (required)
• Kentucky License required (candidates willing to apply after offer will be considered — application must be submitted immediately upon acceptance)
• AHA BLS certification (required)
• AHA ACLS certification (required)
• Experience with:
  • Table panning
  • Scrubbing diagnostic & interventional cardiology procedures
  • Shockwave, Balloon Pump, Impella, EKOS, Penumbra, ACIST injector
  • Device implants including Pacemakers & ICDs (single, dual, Bi-V)
  • Peripheral diagnostics & interventions
• Experience with radial and groin access procedures
• EP experience preferred (training available)
• Must live 75+ miles from facility — no local candidates
• Must provide current valid driver’s license with submission
• Assignment confirmation due within 24 hours of offer
• Previous travel experience preferred, but first-time travelers are welcome
