Step into a specialized imaging role providing high-quality CT scans and diagnostic radiology services. This contract opportunity offers the chance to join a dedicated imaging department focused on patient care and clinical excellence.

Schedule:

  • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Block scheduling available; weekends are part of the rotation
  • No on-call duties

Key Qualifications:

  • ARRT (CT) certification required
  • Active BLS certification
  • Minimum of one year of recent CT experience
  • Familiarity with GE, OEC – C-arms, and Carestream Portable technology
  • Strong clinical communication skills and ability to follow radiology protocols

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and explain procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout the exam
  • Review requisitions and patient history; obtain clarification or additional clinical information as needed
  • Set up procedure rooms, maintain stock, and ensure readiness for complex diagnostic procedures
  • Operate CT equipment, select and control technical factors, and apply principles of radiation protection and ALARA standards
  • Administer intravenous contrast; monitor for and respond to any patient reactions promptly
  • Assist radiologists in specialized diagnostic procedures such as biopsies, maintaining sterility and safety at all times
  • Ensure all images meet quality standards, resolve image exceptions, and facilitate efficient delivery into PACS
  • Accurately complete and document information in both the Radiology Information System (RIS) and medical records
  • Uphold departmental standards, demonstrating professionalism, open communication, and a commitment to providing excellent patient-centered care
