Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or registration as a CT Technologist (ARRT, NMTCB, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience operating CT and PET/CT scanners
  • Comprehensive understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging protocols
  • Up-to-date BLS certification
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver compassionate patient care
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Previous experience in a hospital or busy outpatient imaging setting strongly preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality CT and PET/CT scans according to physician orders and established protocols
  • Prepare and position patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy
  • Assess images for diagnostic accuracy and troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed
  • Document procedures, observations, and patient information accurately in electronic health records
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists, referring providers, and support staff
  • Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment in accordance with safety standards
  • Uphold infection prevention and control measures at all times
  • Provide thorough explanations of examinations to patients, addressing questions or concerns
