Qualifications:
- Valid certification or registration as a CT Technologist (ARRT, NMTCB, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience operating CT and PET/CT scanners
- Comprehensive understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging protocols
- Up-to-date BLS certification
- Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver compassionate patient care
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Previous experience in a hospital or busy outpatient imaging setting strongly preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality CT and PET/CT scans according to physician orders and established protocols
- Prepare and position patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy
- Assess images for diagnostic accuracy and troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed
- Document procedures, observations, and patient information accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate closely with radiologists, referring providers, and support staff
- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment in accordance with safety standards
- Uphold infection prevention and control measures at all times
- Provide thorough explanations of examinations to patients, addressing questions or concerns
