CT Technologist in Staten Island, NY

An excellent opportunity is available for an Imaging professional adept in both CT and PET/CT technologies. This contract position begins on 10/10 and offers multiple shift options to suit your availability: 8am to 4pm, 9am to 5pm, or 10am to 6pm. Required Qualifications:

• Valid registration and licensure in Radiologic Technology (CT and PET/CT modalities)
• Demonstrated experience performing CT and PET/CT imaging in a clinical setting
• In-depth knowledge of imaging protocols, safety measures, and quality assurance standards
• Ability to accurately position patients and optimize image quality
• Skilled in operating advanced imaging equipment and troubleshooting technical issues
• Excellent communication skills and a professional bedside manner
• Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and documentation abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality CT and PET/CT scans as ordered by referring physicians
• Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and ensuring comfort
• Monitor images for diagnostic quality and adjust as necessary
• Maintain accurate patient records and update imaging logs in accordance with facility policies
• Collaborate with radiologists and medical teams to facilitate optimal patient care
• Comply with all regulatory and safety requirements for imaging operations
• Perform cleaning, calibration, and routine maintenance on imaging equipment
