CT Technologist in Staten Island, NY

Seeking a skilled specialist to perform advanced medical imaging with expertise in CT and PET/CT technology. This contract opportunity focuses exclusively on weekend coverage, with shifts available on both Saturday and Sunday. Applicants may specify their preferred shift on their application: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Schedule:

• Part-time, weekends only (Saturday & Sunday)
• Shifts: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Qualifications:

• Current ARRT registration in CT required
• Experience or certification in PET/CT strongly preferred
• Valid state licensure
• Proven proficiency operating advanced CT and PET/CT imaging equipment
• Strong attention to detail and outstanding patient care skills
• Ability to work effectively as a part of a multidisciplinary care team
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality CT and PET/CT scans as ordered by physicians
• Prepare and position patients for procedures with focus on safety and comfort
• Evaluate images for quality assurance before submitting results to radiologists
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Assist with calibration, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance of imaging equipment
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients and clinical staff
