Step into a critical role focused on advanced imaging as a CT/PET Technologist and contribute your expertise in a dynamic hospital environment. This part-time contract position is designed for an experienced imaging professional ready to make an impact throughout the weekends.

Schedule:

  • Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  • 8:00am – 4:00pm

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State license in Radiologic Technology is required
  • ARRT certification in Radiography and CT required
  • Documented CT certification (please ensure all certifications are clearly listed on your resume)
  • Prior experience working in a hospital imaging department is essential
  • Strong technical skills in CT and PET imaging modalities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Adherence to safety protocols and attention to detail

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operate CT and PET scanning equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and nursing staff to provide accurate and timely imaging services
  • Prepare and position patients for scans, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort
  • Verify physician orders and review patient history for appropriateness of imaging studies
  • Maintain thorough, accurate records and adhere to patient privacy standards (HIPAA)
  • Monitor imaging equipment function, and arrange for service or troubleshooting as needed
