CT Tech CT Technologist - Sterling Heights, MI

Take your imaging expertise to the next level by performing essential CT scans and diagnostic procedures in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract opportunity focuses on operating independently to provide high-quality computerized tomographic exams and related imaging services.

Schedule:

• 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend is required

Required Qualifications:

• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• BLS certification
• Proficient in CT and general diagnostic radiology
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Key Responsibilities:

• Clearly explain examination procedures and prepare patients for imaging
• Review clinical requisitions and obtain necessary patient medical history
• Prepare procedure rooms and ensure supplies are well stocked
• Analyze patient anatomy, position equipment, and perform CT scans
• Operate equipment manually to optimize diagnostic results
• Administer IV contrast media safely, utilizing power injectors; monitor patients for potential reactions and provide immediate care if needed
• Set up and maintain sterile equipment and supplies for procedures, ensuring everything required is available and properly stored
• Assist radiologists with complex procedures such as biopsies
• Practice ALARA principles and other radiation safety protocols to protect patients and team members
• Manage PACS-related tasks, resolving image exceptions and ensuring high-quality image delivery
• Complete all required study indexing within the Radiology Information System (RIS)
• Confirm and clarify clinical protocols with Radiologists prior to conducting studies
• Uphold team member standards of excellence by fostering communication, responding promptly, and promoting a culture of respect and innovation
• Complete thorough documentation in patient records and within information systems for clinical and administrative purposes
