Responsibilities:

  • Operate CT and PET imaging equipment to capture detailed internal images for physician interpretation
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, thoroughly explaining processes and addressing questions or concerns to ensure comfort
  • Adhere strictly to established protocols, including safety and infection control standards
  • Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and completeness before submission to radiologists
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to coordinate patient care and optimize workflow
  • Monitor equipment functionality, perform basic troubleshooting, and report any malfunctions for timely maintenance
  • Ensure the confidentiality of patient information at all times

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification in Radiologic Technology, ARRT (CT) registration, or comparable credentials
  • Demonstrated expertise operating CT and PET systems in a clinical setting
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and a patient-first approach
  • Meticulous attention to detail and passion for quality imaging
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Solid understanding of radiation safety protocols and HIPAA regulations
  • Previous experience with imaging software and electronic health records preferred
