This contract position calls for a skilled technologist dedicated to providing accurate and compassionate imaging services that streamline treatment and improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered in CT by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or equivalent certification
- Experience operating both CT and PET/CT scanners independently
- In-depth knowledge of imaging safety protocols and patient positioning
- Comfortable troubleshooting equipment and adapting to new software or protocols
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with patients and team members
- Current BLS certification is required
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinical imaging environment is preferred
Schedule and Hours:
- Schedule and shift details provided during the interview process to match facility needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality CT and PET/CT scans as ordered by physicians, ensuring proper technique and patient care throughout the process
- Prepare patients by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and maintaining a calm, supportive environment
- Accurately document all patient and scan information for clinical records and radiologist review
- Coordinate with radiologists and other staff to efficiently manage workflow and support timely diagnosis
- Monitor imaging equipment for function and report any issues or required maintenance
- Maintain compliance with all safety, privacy, and regulatory standards
