Responsibilities:
- Operate CT and PET imaging equipment to capture detailed internal images for physician interpretation
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, thoroughly explaining processes and addressing questions or concerns to ensure comfort
- Adhere strictly to established protocols, including safety and infection control standards
- Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and completeness before submission to radiologists
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to coordinate patient care and optimize workflow
- Monitor equipment functionality, perform basic troubleshooting, and report any malfunctions for timely maintenance
- Ensure the confidentiality of patient information at all times
Qualifications:
- Valid certification in Radiologic Technology, ARRT (CT) registration, or comparable credentials
- Demonstrated expertise operating CT and PET systems in a clinical setting
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a patient-first approach
- Meticulous attention to detail and passion for quality imaging
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Solid understanding of radiation safety protocols and HIPAA regulations
- Previous experience with imaging software and electronic health records preferred
