Key Qualifications:
- Current certification and registry as a CT Technologist; certification in PET imaging is strongly preferred
- Valid state licensure to practice as required by regulatory authority
- Proven experience operating and maintaining CT and PET imaging equipment
- Proficient in patient positioning, image acquisition, and radiation safety protocols
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic criteria for advanced cross-sectional imaging
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow established imaging protocols
- Demonstrates compassionate communication and collaboration with patients, physicians, and colleagues
- Ability to adapt and function in a fast-paced, evolving clinical setting
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients for CT and CT/PET examinations in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety
- Review images for diagnostic adequacy and communicate findings to radiologists and healthcare providers as necessary
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in the electronic health record system
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance as needed
- Provide patient education regarding procedures, address concerns, and ensure comfort throughout the exam
- Adhere to infection control, privacy, and safety regulations at all times
