Qualifications and Experience:
- Prior experience as a CT Technologist, including competency with computerized tomographic radiological procedures
- Familiarity with general diagnostic radiology examinations preferred
- Proficient in using and maintaining CT imaging equipment
- Ability to explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients
- Skilled in administering intravenous contrast media and utilizing power injectors
- Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and ALARA techniques
- Experience assisting with sterile diagnostic procedures, such as biopsies, is a plus
- Knowledgeable in PACS and RIS workflows, including image quality and study documentation
- Commitment to upholding patient confidentiality and high standards of clinical documentation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a diverse team
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans and support general radiology procedures
- Prepare patients for examinations, ensuring comfort and clarity on procedures
- Set up and stock procedure rooms; maintain readiness and cleanliness
- Analyze patient anatomy, select proper equipment, and operate scans with accuracy
- Administer contrast materials safely, monitor patients for reactions, and respond with immediate care if needed
- Prepare and monitor sterile equipment and supplies for procedures
- Support Radiologists during complex interventions, including biopsies
- Adhere strictly to radiation protection standards
- Manage imaging data and documentation within PACS and RIS systems
- Collaborate effectively with radiology and healthcare team members
