Schedule:
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Block scheduling available
- No on-call responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Current ARRT (CT) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of recent CT tech experience
- Proficiency with GE, OEC - C-arms, and Carestream Portables
- Strong understanding of radiation safety principles (ALARA)
- Exceptional communication and patient engagement skills
- Experience with PACS and RIS systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality CT scans and assist with occasional diagnostic radiology exams
- Explain exam procedures to patients and ensure patient preparation and safety throughout
- Accurately review clinical requisitions and supplement with additional patient information as needed
- Set up equipment, perform imaging, and administer intravenous contrast while monitoring for adverse reactions
- Assist radiologists during sterile and complex diagnostic procedures, such as biopsies
- Prepare, stock, and maintain procedure room supplies
- Implement radiation protection protocols for all imaging activities
- Troubleshoot PACS imaging issues, verify image quality and data integrity
- Complete accurate medical and radiology information system documentation
- Demonstrate professional standards: inclusive communication, responsiveness, positivity, innovation, and respect for team diversity
