Advance your clinical expertise by performing a variety of computerized tomographic (CT) imaging procedures as part of a well-structured healthcare team. This contract opportunity offers hands-on experience with advanced technologies and a supportive work environment.

Schedule:

  • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Block scheduling available (including weekends)
  • No on-call hours

Qualifications:

  • Current ARRT (CT) certification required
  • Active BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year of CT imaging experience
  • Experience with GE systems, OEC C-arms, and Carestream portable machines preferred
  • Strong knowledge of patient safety and radiation protection principles
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients and explain CT procedures to ensure comfort and understanding
  • Review clinical data and obtain necessary additional patient history
  • Set up, operate, and control equipment for optimal image acquisition
  • Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for any reactions
  • Prepare procedure rooms, maintain inventory of necessary supplies, and set up sterile equipment as needed
  • Assist radiologists with complex diagnostic procedures such as biopsies
  • Perform imaging with strict adherence to radiation safety standards (ALARA)
  • Resolve image exceptions, deliver high-quality images into PACS, and ensure accuracy in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Accurately document procedures in both medical and radiology records
  • Consistently demonstrate professionalism, collaborative team behavior, and respect for patient privacy and cultural diversity
