Job Type Contract

A skilled CT Technologist is needed to provide high-quality imaging support with an emphasis on CT and PET/CT modalities. The contract runs for 13 weeks, starting as soon as possible. This position is primarily based in the emergency room, utilizing advanced Siemens Definition AS+ and GE VCT 64 Slice equipment.

Schedule:

  • 3 x 12-hour night shifts (3:00pm – 3:30am)
  • Rotating weeks:
    • Week 1: Sunday, Thursday, Friday
    • Week 2: Monday, Friday, Saturday
  • 40 hours per week
  • No on-call required; weekend shifts included

Required Experience & Certifications:

  • Active RT(R)(CT) registry
  • Current Rhode Island radiologic technologist license (allow 3-4 weeks for processing, if needed)
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum one year of CT and PET/CT experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Siemens Definition AS+ and GE VCT 64 Slice scanners
  • Experience with Medrad injectors and GE PACS a plus
  • Epic EMR experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality CT and PET/CT scans, primarily for ER patients
  • Collaborate with emergency room clinicians for accurate and timely diagnostic imaging
  • Ensure proper operation and minimal downtime of CT equipment
  • Follow all safety and infection control protocols
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in EPIC and PACS systems
  • Uphold hospital dress code: scrubs required, no hooded sweatshirts
