Qualifications & Experience:
- Current ARRT (R) certification with advanced registry in CT preferred or PET/CT experience
- Valid radiologic technologist license as required by the state
- Minimum of one year experience in CT and PET/CT imaging
- Strong knowledge of imaging protocols, patient safety, and radiation safety procedures
- Ability to operate CT and PET/CT scanners and related equipment efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary teamwork
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and PACS
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and advanced CT and PET/CT imaging studies following established protocols
- Prepare and position patients accurately and safely for scans
- Ensure image quality for physician interpretation, adjusting technical factors as needed
- Maintain all equipment, reporting malfunctions promptly
- Educate patients regarding procedures and address any concerns
- Document imaging procedures and maintain accurate patient records in electronic systems
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals for optimal diagnostic outcomes
- Adhere strictly to infection control, quality standards, and facility protocols
