Required Skills and Experience:
- Certification and current registration as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Demonstrated competency in operating and troubleshooting CT, X-ray, and PET imaging equipment
- Knowledge of appropriate imaging protocols, safety standards, and patient care techniques
- Prior experience working as a CT Technologist and PET/CT Tech in a clinical or hospital environment
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering clear, precise images
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using CT, X-ray, and PET equipment according to physician orders
- Accurately position patients, ensure comfort and safety, and explain procedures to alleviate concerns
- Maintain and calibrate imaging machinery for optimal performance
- Follow established protocols to safeguard patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure
- Document imaging findings and maintain accurate patient records per regulatory and facility standards
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support multidisciplinary care
- Adhere to facility policies and maintain strict patient confidentiality
