Opportunity for an experienced CT/PET Technologist to contribute to a high-acuity hospital setting with a strong reputation as a trauma and stroke care leader. This role supports both inpatient and outpatient imaging needs, working with a robust interdisciplinary team and top-tier GE CT technology.
Schedule:
- Shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday
Key Qualifications:
- ARRT certification required; ARRT-CT and BLS required for CT techs
- State license for CT technologist preferred
- Strong experience with CT imaging, including trauma scans, angiograms, and biopsy drainage
- Stroke perfusion experience strongly preferred
- Minimum 1 year of post-training experience with relevant skills (travelers with less experience considered if exceptionally strong)
- New travelers considered with a minimum of 2 years’ CT/PET experience
- Experience using Cerner EMR and GE CT systems beneficial
- Willingness to float within the radiology department as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality CT and PET procedures for both adult and occasional pediatric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Manage a 1:1 patient ratio; typical caseload averages 4 patients per hour (approx. 40 daily)
- Participate in trauma cases, stroke protocols, angiography, and interventional CT procedures
- Use Cerner EMR for documentation and patient care coordination
- Collaborate cohesively with radiologists, technologists, and nursing staff for optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in a variable weekend/holiday rotation; on-call is voluntary
