CT Tech CT Technologist - Wetumpka, Alabama

Step into a vital role providing high-quality diagnostic imaging for a busy healthcare facility with 492 beds and advanced capabilities, including Level II Trauma, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center. This contract position begins June 22 and suits professionals ready for a dynamic environment with a patient mix including adult inpatients/outpatients and occasional pediatric cases.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour mids, 36 hours/week
• 10:00 AM – 10:30 PM, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Key Qualifications:

• ARRT certification required
• ARRT-CT credential required
• BLS certification mandatory for all candidates
• State license preferred
• At least one year of CT experience with proven competency in required skills; will consider first-time travelers with a minimum two years’ relevant experience
• Strongly prefer stroke perfusion experience; must be skilled in biopsy drainage, trauma, and angiogram procedures

Responsibilities:

• Operate GE CT scanners and utilize Cerner EMR
• Deliver high-quality CT imaging services, including trauma, biopsy drainage, angiograms, and stroke perfusion studies
• Manage 1:1 patient ratios, averaging ~4 procedures per hour (40 daily)
• Float as needed within the main radiology department
• Collaborate with a team-focused staff of two CT techs and one assistant per shift
• Attend a comprehensive orientation: one 8-hour hospital session, followed by 2-3 unit-based shifts alongside another tech
• Support care for both adult and occasional pediatric populations
• Comply with holiday and weekend rotation policies as needed
