Step into a vital role supporting emergency care as a skilled CT/PET Technologist. This contract opportunity is designed for professionals eager to work in a fast-paced, ER-focused environment delivering high-quality imaging services. The assignment begins as soon as possible and spans 13 weeks, ensuring you make an immediate and meaningful impact.
Schedule:
- 3 x 12-hour night shifts (3:00pm – 3:30am)
- Rotating week schedule:
- Week 1: Sunday, Thursday, Friday
- Week 2: Monday, Friday, Saturday
- 40 hours per week, no on-call
Key Qualifications:
- Active Rhode Island license (RI)
- Current BLS certification
- ARRT credentials: RT(R)(CT)
- Full COVID and flu vaccination required; booster can be declined for medical reasons only (no religious declinations)
- Minimum of 3-4 weeks RI licensing process, if not already held
- Experience with CT and PET imaging, preferably with Siemens Definition AS+ and GE VCT 64 Slice equipment
- Familiarity with EPIC (preferred), Medrad injectors, and GE PACS (preferred)
- Strong ability to function in emergency/critical care settings
Core Duties:
- Perform high-quality CT/PET imaging studies using advanced systems and imaging protocols
- Collaborate closely with ER staff to prioritize urgent cases, ensuring diagnostic accuracy and patient safety
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of imaging equipment in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Input accurate patient and procedure information into EPIC and PACS systems
- Adhere to infection control, hospital dress code, and imaging protocols
