This travel role involves performing all aspects of echocardiography, including adult, pediatric, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms. You'll work directly under experienced leadership, gaining exposure to the latest imaging protocols and advanced technology. Along with developing your technical proficiency, you'll enhance your skills in critical thinking, patient communication, and collaborative problem-solving with a multidisciplinary team.
Schedule/Hours:
- 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
- Various shifts, including rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cardiac ultrasound procedures per established protocols
- Use advanced equipment for precise diagnostic imaging, measurements, and calculations
- Communicate findings effectively to the interpreting physician
- Ensure patient safety and promote comfort throughout procedures
- Administer Ultrasound Enhancing Agents and saline bubble studies as required
- Provide patient and family education about procedures
- Help train and orient new team members
- Maintain high standards of infection control and equipment care
Qualifications:
- ARDMS, RCS, or RDCS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in echocardiography preferred
- Excellent communication, detail orientation, and multitasking capabilities
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Flexibility with work hours and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment
