This contract role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and collaborate with a skilled clinical team. Your proficiency in echocardiography techniques and commitment to quality imaging will play a pivotal role in delivering excellent diagnostic services.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology
- Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
- Previous experience performing echocardiogram procedures in a hospital or clinical setting
- Proficiency with imaging equipment and digital reporting systems
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathologies
- Detail-oriented with outstanding patient care and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and changing clinical needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Independently conduct routine and emergent echocardiograms, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress studies
- Prepare, maintain, and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal diagnostic quality
- Work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals, providing accurate findings and assisting in diagnostic evaluations
- Carefully document imaging procedures and maintain patient records in compliance with regulatory and facility standards
- Educate patients on procedure processes, ensuring comfort and addressing any questions or concerns
