Echo Technologist in Byron, GA

This contract role focuses on performing echocardiograms and related diagnostic procedures, supporting top-quality patient care with cutting-edge technology and collaborative resources.

Schedule/Hours:

• 10-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
• Shift time: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• One night call shift per week (end of shift until 7:00 AM the following morning; typically a weekday, with potential for occasional weekends)
• No weekend rotation required at this time
• Call coverage on major holidays (potential for up to 50% of holidays per contract); department open on holiday eves
• No floating to other departments required

Qualifications:

• Certification as an Echo Technologist with proven experience in Imaging - Echo
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, ultrasound physics, and diagnostic protocols
• Ability to work independently and handle call responsibilities
• Current BLS or equivalent certification preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable to variable patient needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality echocardiograms and assist in other cardiac imaging as needed
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure accurate diagnostic results
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
• Accurately document findings in patient records per facility protocols
• Respond professionally and promptly to on-call assignments and urgent diagnostic needs
