An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Echo Tech specializing in imaging - echo procedures. In this contract position, you will play an essential role in supporting cardiac care by utilizing advanced technology and delivering quality imaging services to assist in accurate diagnosis and patient management.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current certification in echocardiography (RDCS or RCS preferred)
- Prior experience working as an Echo Tech in a clinical or hospital setting
- Proficient in the operation and maintenance of echocardiography equipment
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and pathology
- Ability to acquire clear images and recognize technical or diagnostic issues
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach with healthcare teams
- Adherence to safety and confidentiality protocols at all times
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiographic exams, both transthoracic and, if applicable, transesophageal
- Accurately document findings and assist interpreting physicians with detailed data
- Ensure patients are comfortable, informed, and well-prepared for procedures
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed
- Manage patient records and comply with hospital documentation standards
- Practice infection control and observe all facility safety procedures
