Working as an Echo Tech, you will function under the direction of a Manager or Lead/Chief Sonographer, performing comprehensive cardiac imaging including adult, pediatric, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms (as applicable). Your contributions will play a central role in patient care, while you collaborate with dedicated healthcare professionals and enjoy meaningful adventures during your downtime.
Schedule:
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
- Rotating various shift times, including weekends and holidays
- Call requirements as assigned
Desired Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Trade or Advanced Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred
- Minimum 1 year of echocardiography experience or formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography/ Cardiovascular Technology training preferred
- Current ARDMS, RCS, RDCS, or related cardiac sonographer certification
- Current BLS or equivalent certification
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, perform under pressure, and work both independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to patient privacy, comfort, and safety
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cardiac ultrasound exams and measurements per protocol
- Provide clear, concise preliminary findings to physicians
- Ensure quality control and equipment maintenance
- Guide and educate patients and families about procedures
- Support and train other staff as needed
- Maintain high standards for documentation, infection control, and patient dignity
