Echo Technologist in Los Osos, CA

Bring your expertise in echocardiography and elevate patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled imaging professional comfortable with Echo modalities and excited to contribute to a high-quality team over a 13-week assignment. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary clinicians, utilizing advanced imaging technology to provide critical diagnostic insights.

Schedule:

• 3 shifts per week, 12-hour days (6:00am - 6:30pm)
• Thursday and Friday with rotating weekends
• Alternate option: Thursday, Friday onsite, plus a variable day, and every other weekend on call

Qualifications:

• Current certification in BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Registered credential with ARDMS or CCI (Echo specialization)
• Proven track record in Echo Tech roles, performing adult echocardiograms and advanced cardiac imaging
• Hands-on experience with Epic Electronic Health Records is essential
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain composed during fast-paced diagnostic assessments

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out transthoracic and, when applicable, transesophageal echocardiograms as ordered by physicians
• Prepare, operate, and maintain ultrasound and imaging equipment according to established protocols
• Accurately record and analyze test findings to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment planning
• Provide clear communication to patients regarding procedures while ensuring comfort and compliance
• Document all procedures and results in the Epic system efficiently
• Participate in scheduled on-call coverage as required
