Echo Technologist - Macon, GA

Step into a vital clinical role performing echocardiography for a leading healthcare facility. This contract position is suited for a skilled Echo Technologist who excels in a dynamic imaging environment and is committed to delivering accurate, high-quality diagnostic studies.

Schedule:

• 10-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
• 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• One night of on-call coverage per week (End of shift until 7:00 AM the next day; typically weekdays, occasional weekends possible)
• No required weekend rotation currently
• Holiday on-call coverage for 50% of major holidays per contract; department open on holiday eves
• No floating to other departments required

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Current, valid credentialing in Echocardiography (certification and state licensure as required)
• Demonstrated expertise in performing and interpreting echocardiographic procedures
• Previous experience as an Echo Tech in a busy clinical setting preferred
• Strong technical and analytical skills in diagnostic imaging
• Excellent interpersonal abilities for working with patients and healthcare team members
• Flexibility to meet on-call and holiday coverage as outlined

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate echocardiography equipment to capture detailed images of cardiac structures for physician analysis
• Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals for optimal patient care
• Accurately document procedures, imaging findings, and patient information in accordance with facility protocols
• Maintain equipment to ensure functionality and quality assurance
