Echo Technologist - Macon, GA

Step into an advanced diagnostic imaging role where your expertise in echocardiography makes a direct impact on patient care. This contract opportunity calls for a skilled professional with strong experience in Imaging – Echo and proficiency as an Echo Tech, ready to deliver quality service in a collaborative clinical setting.

Schedule/Hours:

• 10-hour day shifts, totaling 40 hours per week
• Standard hours: 0800 – 1830
• One on-call night shift per week (end of shift to 0700 the next morning; typically a weekday, occasional weekends possible)
• No required weekend rotation at present
• On-call coverage for holidays required; department open on holiday eves

Key Qualifications:

• Demonstrated competency in performing echocardiograms and related imaging studies
• Certification as an Echo Tech (ARDMS or CCI preferred)
• Solid understanding of cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and pathology
• Ability to work independently as well as communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
• Previous experience handling on-call responsibilities in a hospital or clinical environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct and interpret echocardiographic procedures according to physician directives
• Operate ultrasound imaging equipment and ensure image quality for accurate diagnosis
• Document results thoroughly and maintain up-to-date patient records
• Respond sensitively to patients’ needs while upholding privacy and safety protocols
• Provide expert assistance to physicians in evaluating cardiac function
• Fulfill on-call requirements as scheduled, ensuring prompt response to urgent imaging requests
