This travel position enables Echo Techs to work alongside experienced imaging teams and forward-thinking healthcare leaders. You’ll gain exposure to a spectrum of workplace practices, leadership styles, and the full breadth of cardiac imaging, adding substantial new experience to your resume. During your downtime, take advantage of the region’s lively events, eclectic dining, and friendly neighborhoods.
Schedule:
- 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
- Various shifts, including weekends and holidays on a rotational basis
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive cardiac sonography exams including adult, pediatric, stress, and transesophageal echocardiograms
- Complete measurements, calculations, and provide summaries to interpreting physicians
- Administer/Inject Ultrasound Enhancing Agents as needed
- Assess patient conditions and ensure safety, privacy, and comfort throughout procedures
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and care teams to explain exams and address concerns
- Support departmental quality control and maintain high standards in documentation, infection control, and equipment care
- Participate in orientation, training, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (trade school/degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred)
- Current ARDMS, RCS, CCI, or RDCS-AE certification required
- Active BLS certification
- At least 1 year of echocardiography experience or completion of an accredited program preferred
- Strong multitasking, organization, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work independently and in a team
- Flexibility with scheduling and willingness to take call and rotate holidays/weekends
