Echo Technologist in Middleton, WI

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current certification in echocardiography (RDCS, RCS, or equivalent)
• Demonstrated skill in performing adult echocardiograms using modern ultrasound equipment
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology
• Ability to interpret and document preliminary findings
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients and providers
• BLS certification required; ACLS a plus
• Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct and document a variety of echocardiographic exams in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
• Adjust imaging techniques for optimal visualization and patient comfort
• Utilize established procedures to ensure accuracy and quality of diagnostic images
• Communicate findings and unusual results promptly to the interpreting physician
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work area following infection control guidelines
• Provide guidance and reassurance to patients before, during, and after procedures
• Contribute to the implementation of departmental improvements and best practices
