Qualifications & Experience:

• Registered or registry-eligible in echocardiography (RDCS, RCS, or equivalent recognized credential)
• Proven hands-on experience operating and maintaining echocardiography equipment
• Comprehensive understanding of cardiac anatomy, pathology, and ultrasound principles
• Ability to accurately acquire and interpret echocardiographic images for cardiologist review
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to technical detail
• Commitment to maintaining best practices in patient safety and confidentiality
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, ensuring positive patient interactions

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and advanced echocardiograms, including transthoracic and stress echo studies, adhering to protocol and clinical standards
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and support patient diagnosis and care
• Maintain meticulous patient records and ensure timely electronic charting of findings
• Identify and address artifact or quality issues during imaging, ensuring optimal image acquisition
• Provide clear instructions and reassurance to patients throughout each procedure
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of imaging equipment, following infection control procedures
• Remain updated on new imaging technology, techniques, and continuing education requirements
