Key Qualifications:

  • Registered or registry-eligible Echocardiography Technologist (RDCS, RCS, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience in performing and interpreting echocardiograms
  • Proficiency with imaging equipment and related technology
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with physicians and clinical staff
  • Ability to work accurately with attention to patient safety and comfort
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct transthoracic and, as needed, transesophageal echocardiograms in accordance with physician orders and protocols
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients prior to imaging procedures
  • Ensure clear documentation of findings and maintain accurate medical records
  • Collaborate on preliminary interpretations and assist with follow-up procedures
  • Maintain and troubleshoot echocardiography equipment as required
  • Adhere to best practices for infection prevention and patient confidentiality
