Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current certification as an Echocardiography Technologist (RDCS or RCS preferred)
  • Proficiency operating echocardiogram and ultrasound equipment
  • Solid understanding of adult cardiac anatomy, physiology, and imaging protocols
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience performing echocardiograms in a clinical environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to assess quality imaging results
  • Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technical staff

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive echocardiographic examinations including 2D, M-mode, color Doppler, and spectral Doppler imaging
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
  • Accurately record, analyze, and document ultrasound data for diagnostic interpretation
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of imaging equipment and related workspaces
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver timely and accurate reports
  • Follow established protocols and ensure compliance with safety and privacy standards
  • Provide clear explanations to patients regarding procedures and address their questions or concerns
