Position Overview:
As a vital member of the cardiac imaging department, you’ll conduct a variety of echocardiograms—including adult, pediatric, transesophageal, structural heart, and stress. Under the supervision of experienced leadership, you’ll provide accurate measurements, collaborate with interpreting physicians, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the echo process. Your role also involves administering ultrasound enhancing agents (UEA), participating in quality control, and assisting in patient care from admission through procedure completion.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
  • Various shifts, including potential weekend and holiday rotations
  • Availability to take call as needed

Key Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Trade School Diploma/Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year echocardiography experience, or recent graduate of accredited program
  • ARDMS, RCS, RDCS, or equivalent credential required upon hire
  • Current BLS certification (AHA, ARC, or instructor)
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to operate independently under pressure while thriving in a collaborative environment
  • Detail-oriented, professional, and adept at multitasking

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive cardiac imaging per protocol
  • Assess, prep, and educate patients while maintaining dignity and privacy
  • Facilitate accurate documentation and preliminary findings
  • Ensure equipment function, cleanliness, and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Mentor new staff and contribute to orientation as needed
