Step into a dynamic role supporting the critical work of a hospital imaging department as an EEG Technician. This contract position offers the opportunity to work three 12-hour day shifts each week, providing essential neurodiagnostic care and leveraging your expertise in EEG technology.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour day shifts: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (06:30 am – 7:00 pm)
  • No regular weekend shifts required
  • On-call: One call per week plus one Saturday call per month

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of prior experience as an EEG Technician
  • Current Board of Registered EEG Technologist (ABRET) certification, or Certified EEG Technician (CET) registry—one is required
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and monitor routine and complex electroencephalogram (EEG) procedures for patients of diverse ages and backgrounds
  • Ensure accurate electrode placement and troubleshoot technical issues according to established protocols
  • Maintain high standards in patient care, confidentiality, and safety throughout all diagnostic procedures
  • Clearly communicate procedural steps and provide reassurance to patients
  • Accurately document patient information and findings for physician review
  • Participate actively in the hospital’s on-call rotation and respond promptly to urgent cases
