Qualifications & Experience:
- Certification as an Electrophysiology Technologist (EP Tech) required
- Prior experience in a hospital or acute care setting performing EP studies and ablations
- Proficient in imaging techniques specifically used in EP labs
- Ability to operate EP recording, mapping, and ablation equipment with precision
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and sterile technique
- BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
- Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the EP lab for a variety of procedures, ensuring optimal equipment functioning and patient comfort
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology studies
- Monitor and accurately document patient vitals and procedural data
- Troubleshoot and maintain imaging and recording equipment
- Adhere strictly to safety and infection control policies
- Educate patients and families about procedures and aftercare, providing compassionate support
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, cardiologists, and other allied health professionals
