Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certification as an Electrophysiology Technologist (EP Tech) required
  • Prior experience in a hospital or acute care setting performing EP studies and ablations
  • Proficient in imaging techniques specifically used in EP labs
  • Ability to operate EP recording, mapping, and ablation equipment with precision
  • Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and sterile technique
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
  • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the EP lab for a variety of procedures, ensuring optimal equipment functioning and patient comfort
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology studies
  • Monitor and accurately document patient vitals and procedural data
  • Troubleshoot and maintain imaging and recording equipment
  • Adhere strictly to safety and infection control policies
  • Educate patients and families about procedures and aftercare, providing compassionate support
  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, cardiologists, and other allied health professionals
