Take on a key leadership role in managing and directing day-to-day operations of cardiovascular invasive procedure rooms within a dynamic electrophysiology (EP) lab environment. Contribute to a progressive team focused on patient-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and technical excellence at a state-of-the-art teaching hospital.
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Weekend and holiday call rotations (details provided during interview)
- Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all operational and administrative EP Lab activities, ensuring high-quality patient care
- Lead and support staff in performing advanced electrophysiology cases including EPS, catheter ablations (PFA, radiofrequency, cryoablations), and device implants
- Supervise procedures such as pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, device/laser lead extractions, Cardioversions, Loop Implants, and use of leadless devices
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (Traffic Flow Coordinator, Charge Nurses, VAD, RT, ECMO, Code Teams)
- Ensure safety, compliance, and adherence to protocols using advanced technology (EPIC, Philips, GE, Siems systems)
- Participate in ongoing education, orientation, and quality improvement initiatives
Desired Qualifications:
- At least two years of EP Lab experience
- National registry/certification: ARRT-R or equivalent, or RCIS required; RCES preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in EP/structural scrubbing; monitoring experience preferred
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Willingness to work as per departmental needs, including holiday coverage and call rotation
- Ability to chart efficiently in EPIC and coordinate pre/post documentation
