Advance your leadership and technical skills by overseeing the operations of dynamic cardiovascular electrophysiology (EP) laboratories in a highly respected teaching and trauma hospital. This position is a contract opportunity involving both supervisory and hands-on EP Tech responsibilities, making it ideal for professionals passionate about implementing best practices and leading EP teams with a commitment to excellence.
Schedule & Hours:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (0630–1700)
- Rotating weekend call; discussed during interview
- Holiday coverage: at least one holiday shift per contract (if applicable)
- Schedule cycle is every 6 weeks
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of EP Lab experience required
- B.S. degree preferred
- National certifications as applicable (e.g., ARRT-R or RCIS required, RCES preferred for techs)
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience as an EP Tech and/or in a supervisory capacity
- Charting experience in EPIC and pre/post procedural documentation (for RNs)
- Advanced knowledge of electrophysiology studies, catheter ablation procedures, and device implantations
- Familiarity with adult EP patient populations
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct both operational and administrative functions across 4 (occasionally 3) EP labs
- Supervise team members and ensure seamless coordination of cardiovascular invasive procedures
- Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and technical innovation
- Oversee documentation, scheduling, staffing, and maintain compliance with hospital protocols
- Foster ongoing staff education and support continuous improvement
- Collaborate with the VAD, ECMO, Code, and support teams for best patient outcomes
