This supervisory role oversees the operational and administrative aspects of cardiovascular invasive procedure rooms, supporting a renowned facility with a commitment to excellence in electrophysiology services. As a key leader in a teaching hospital with Magnet Designation and Level I Trauma capabilities, you'll experience a collaborative, adaptable culture focused on ongoing learning and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Schedule and Setting:
- Four (10) hour shifts per week, 6:30 am – 5:00 pm
- Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
- Weekend call rotation and holiday coverage as discussed during interviews
- No floating; dedicated EP Lab assignment
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years EP Lab experience
- Experience as EP Tech and/or in a supervisory capacity is required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Current BLS & ACLS certification required
- For Cardiac Cath Techs: ARRT-R or equivalent OR RCIS required; RCES preferred
- Strong EP/structural scrub experience and EP case monitoring
- Familiarity with charting in EPIC and advanced EP procedures (EPS, ablations, device implantations)
- Willingness to support adult-only patient population with a broad range of electrophysiology and device-related procedures
- First-time travelers considered
Core Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage daily operations within rooms dedicated to cardiovascular invasive procedures
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, ensuring technical excellence and patient safety
- Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and case flow in conjunction with traffic flow coordinators and charge nurses
- Support clinical documentation and compliance, utilizing EMR systems such as EPIC
