Seeking a skilled professional skilled in Imaging – EP Technology to support electrophysiology procedures within a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract opportunity offers a focused role working alongside a highly experienced cardiac team to deliver exceptional patient care with advanced technologies.
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (4/10s)
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as an Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist or equivalent credentials
- Proven experience assisting in EP lab procedures, including ablation, device implants, and mapping
- Strong knowledge of imaging modalities used in an EP setting
- Excellent proficiency in sterile techniques and patient safety protocols
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot EP lab equipment
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with all members of the cardiac care team
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during complex electrophysiology procedures, ensuring imaging equipment is prepared and functioning optimally
- Prepare and position patients, verifying identity and medical history prior to procedures
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain imaging and EP equipment, adhering to stringent quality and safety standards
- Monitor patient vital signs and document procedural details accurately and thoroughly
- Implement and reinforce infection control policies in all aspects of patient care
- Communicate procedural updates, anticipated needs, and status changes with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff
- Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to a culture of excellence in patient outcomes
