Qualifications & Experience:

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of one year’s experience in Interventional Radiology.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Proficiency in assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities, prioritizing patient safety.
• Adept at collaborating with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and radiology equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures, including pre-procedure assessments and post-procedure monitoring.
• Monitor patient vital signs and status throughout procedures, ensuring optimal comfort and safety.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist in procedure setups while adhering strictly to infection control protocols.
• Administer medications, contrast agents, and sedatives under physician direction.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, expected outcomes, and aftercare.
• Document thoroughly and accurately, maintaining clear records of patient care and procedure details.
• Respond effectively in emergent situations, demonstrating sound judgment and calm under pressure.
