Interventional Radiology (IR) | Arden, North Carolina

Seeking an experienced healthcare professional with expertise in Interventional Radiology to support patient care within a dynamic hospital environment. This position requires strong clinical skills in both Imaging – Interventional Radiology and nursing functions specific to Interventional Radiology, ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient patient outcomes.

Key Qualifications:

• RN license in good standing, with experience in Interventional Radiology nursing
• Demonstrated knowledge of imaging protocols, equipment, and safety standards in Interventional Radiology
• Proficiency in assisting with vascular, neuro, and other interventional procedures
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Outstanding communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, technologists, and multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures, including assessments and patient education
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation and patient responses during procedures
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized imaging and monitoring equipment
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique during invasive procedures
• Document patient care activities and procedural notes accurately in the electronic health record
• Respond promptly to emergencies or complications using clinical judgment and protocols
• Provide post-procedural care, monitor for adverse reactions, and ensure safe patient recovery
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety programs
