Interventional Radiology (IR) - Asheville, North Carolina

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Current RN license with a strong background in interventional radiology or related imaging specialties
• Previous experience assisting with interventional radiology procedures (vascular, non-vascular, and image-guided techniques)
• Advanced knowledge of sterile techniques, patient monitoring, and medication administration specific to imaging environments
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to respond swiftly to emergent situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting patient wellbeing
• BLS and ACLS certifications required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures, completing assessments and ensuring all safety protocols are followed
• Collaborate with radiologists and technologists during procedures to provide quality patient care and technical assistance
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, and respond to changes in condition with professionalism and precision
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all procedures and interventions
• Educate patients and families about procedure details, aftercare instructions, and follow-up requirements
• Uphold infection control and equipment safety standards at all times
