Interventional Radiology (IR) - Hendersonville, North Carolina

A contract opportunity is available for a skilled nurse with experience in both Imaging and Interventional Radiology. This position plays a key role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting complex imaging procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year recent experience in Interventional Radiology; experience in general imaging preferred
• Advanced knowledge of radiology procedures, sterile technique, and patient monitoring
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures
• Collaborate with physicians and technologists to ensure safe and effective procedures
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any changes in condition swiftly
• Prepare patients for procedures, including IV insertions and administering moderate sedation as needed
• Maintain detailed records and support accurate charting
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, radiation protection principles, and infection control standards
• Provide patient education and answer questions regarding procedures and aftercare
• Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of specialized equipment used in interventional radiology

$2,299 - $2,432/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
