Interventional Radiology (IR) | Hendersonville, North Carolina

Elevate patient care as an Interventional Radiology RN in an advanced imaging setting. This contract role offers the opportunity to collaborate with skilled medical professionals and play a vital part in a dynamic radiology department specializing in minimally invasive procedures. Your expertise will support both patients and the healthcare team throughout complex imaging interventions.

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time, contract-based position
• Day shifts with occasional on-call or weekend hours as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Interventional Radiology suite, including assessment, monitoring, and recovery.
• Assist radiologists and technologists with image-guided procedures such as vascular access, biopsies, and angioplasties.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions or changes in status before, during, and after procedures.
• Administer medications, moderate sedation, and IV contrast in accordance with established protocols.
• Maintain meticulous documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control policies.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedure preparation, aftercare, and follow-up steps.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize imaging outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• At least 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology nursing or related imaging experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, radiology equipment, and procedural sedation.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.

$2,662 - $2,816/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
