Qualifications:
- Current RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Interventional Radiology or imaging-focused nursing
- Proficiency in procedural sedation, sterile technique, and monitoring patients during vascular and non-vascular interventions
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong communication, assessment, and patient education skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures
- Monitor and assess patients' condition, responding promptly to changes and initiating appropriate interventions
- Assist the interventional radiology team with patient preparation, sterile field set-up, and procedural support
- Administer medications, contrast agents, and sedatives as ordered in accordance with facility protocols
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation for procedures, assessments, and interventions
- Educate patients and families about procedures and aftercare to ensure optimal outcomes
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines
