Take the opportunity to provide critical care in the dynamic setting of interventional radiology. This position focuses on delivering high-quality nursing interventions while working alongside imaging specialists in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with previous experience in interventional radiology or a similar procedural environment
  • Proficiency in imaging procedures specific to interventional radiology, including pre-, intra-, and post-procedure responsibilities
  • Advanced knowledge of sterile technique, sedation administration, and patient monitoring during minimally invasive procedures
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare providers
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract assignment; schedule details to be discussed during the interview process

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with standards of practice and facility guidelines
  • Coordinate patient preparation, including education, consent, IV insertion, and monitoring before and after procedures
  • Assist in administering medications and contrast agents, monitoring for reactions or complications
  • Maintain strict adherence to sterile field and infection control protocols
  • Accurately document all aspects of care in electronic medical records
  • Support procedural imaging workflow through effective communication with the care team
